People have always sought spiritual enlightenment in different ways, like through meditation, self-reflection, or diving into ancient wisdom. The real essence of this journey is the deep inner change it brings, making us feel more connected and aware of the divine in ourselves and everything around us.
The idea of "enlightenment" is relatively new to Western culture and aims to describe a state of ultimate bliss and freedom from the cycle of reincarnation. Everyone seems to have their own take on what enlightenment means, with no two definitions being exactly the same. I'd love to share some of my experiences on this spiritual path and highlight a few lesser-known factors that have a big impact on it.
Spiritual Enlightenment and its Definitions
In a religious context, enlightenment translates several Buddhist terms and concepts, most notably bodhi and the Japanese satori. Similar terms in other Asian religions include kaivalya and moksha (liberation) in Hinduism, and ushta in Zoroastrianism.
If you ask different spiritual individuals about enlightenment, you'll get a wide range of answers. These responses reflect each person's unique perspective on life, their spiritual readings, and their meditation experiences, if they have any. Some descriptions of enlightenment are almost poetic, while others are purely intellectual.
Let me share my perspective. For context, I'm more of a scientist than a poet, and I like to stay grounded when conversations about spirituality start to drift into imaginative and poetic realms. While I appreciate poetry and have many favorite poets who spark my imagination and enhance my view of Creation, I prefer solid footing when discussing goals, references, and paths to follow; I don't like feeling lost.
What I'm sharing with you isn't from books but from my own spiritual exploration, using my higher vision and ability to connect with other souls, body energies, and higher entities.
First, let's define enlightenment technically, without personal opinions: spiritual enlightenment is achieved when a person's soul vibration (or awareness level) reaches the 7th chakra vibration. Note that the body's vibration differs from the soul's vibration, and "vibration" and "level of awareness" can be used interchangeably.
In simpler terms, if someone attains the same soul vibration (awareness) as Buddha, Jesus, Krishna, Lao Tzu, Ramakrishna, Vivekananda, Yogananda, etc., whether through past lives or spiritual efforts in this life, they are considered enlightened.
These enlightened souls had body vibrations lower than the 7th chakra level, as they took human forms to interact with "normal" people, who typically have both soul and body vibrations around the 3.5 mark on the chakra scale. Our world, as a whole, vibrates at a 3D level (D for dimension of vibration, or chakra scale). Remember the kundalini snake coiled three and a half times in the root chakra, as mentioned in Hinduism and yoga?

The feminine aspect and the masculine aspect
We all have both masculine and feminine aspects within us. These aspects aren't about being a man or a woman, but rather different ways we view and interact with life.
The positive masculine side is like a builder—organized, decisive, and protective, but it lacks access to higher energy. Think of it as someone who can design a house plan but doesn't have the materials to build it.
On the flip side, the positive feminine aspect is nurturing, intuitive, and non-judgmental, with full access to higher energy. This side provides the "bricks" or energy needed for the masculine side to build the house. However, it struggles with following plans and making decisions, thinking more with the heart where there's no duality.
When you combine these two aspects—the blueprint and the bricks—you get something complete, like a house, a person, or even a universe! Ideally, there should be a 50/50 balance of these aspects in each of us, but that's rare. Most people lean more towards one side, like 70% masculine and 30% feminine, or vice versa. Historically, human civilization has been dominated by the masculine aspect, often in its negative form, focused on domination, oppression, and a lust for power.
Enlightenment and personal bias
When it comes to soul enlightenment, everyone's answers will show their own biases, whether they lean more masculine or feminine.
Those with a more feminine bias might focus on feelings, saying things like we're already enlightened, there's nothing to do but watch, everything is bliss, and just ignore the negativity. If you ask them logically why we're in this low-vibration 3D world if we're already enlightened, you probably won't get a satisfying answer. They tend to overlook reality if it doesn't match their idea of enlightenment. Even if you bring up sacred texts describing the struggles of Buddha, Jesus, Krishna, and other truly enlightened souls, pointing out that not everything is blissful, it can be hard to have a reasonable discussion.
On the flip side, those with a stronger masculine bias will emphasize practices like meditation as the sure path to enlightenment. Their approach involves hardship, sacrifices, and following ancient methods as the key to success. They often focus on their own evolution and might not invest much in relationships with others or nature. I've noticed they sometimes have trouble connecting with their higher soul and other higher entities.
My definition of enlightenment
In my experience, to reach the 7th chakra level of awareness and become truly enlightened, a soul needs to balance two main aspects:
The masculine aspect: This involves a deep understanding of creation—how it works, its basic laws, energy mechanisms, the soul's journey through different lives to gain awareness, the relationship between soul and body, kundalini, and the soul's evolution path.
The feminine aspect: This includes excellent access to higher energy and living as an enlightened 7th chakra soul. It means having strong intuition, connecting with higher and disembodied souls, guiding wandering souls to Light, cleansing the subconscious of limiting beliefs, performing shaktipat, helping others energetically, and reading people's soul awareness. Ancient sacred texts describe enlightened souls exhibiting these abilities, which were known as siddhis in Sanskrit. However, having siddhis alone doesn't mean one is enlightened without also possessing a very high consciousness that belongs to the masculine aspect.
Reflecting on ancient enlightened souls, you'll see they had both aspects: mastery of higher energies, and a deep understanding of the universe's laws and mechanisms combined with high principles.
Currently, from my spiritual research, there are about 4,000-5,000 fully enlightened souls on Earth, down from 7,000 a few years ago. However, there's been an increase in higher souls within the 4D to 5D vibration range, which is above the average 3D but below enlightenment. These higher souls will eventually elevate humanity from 3D to 4D awareness.
Conclusions
Before this shift happens, old energies must be released, which is occurring now with events like the COVID pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and other conflicts. It's a time of awakening where everyone is making decisions, consciously or not.
By focusing inward, each of us has the chance to move towards a more enlightened existence.
